Checking if your TIE plastic card is ready? How to pick it up?

Don't know if you can pick up your TIE card yet or if it's still traveling through police offices?

Everything is easy to check yourself in just a few minutes and without unnecessary calls or emails.

How to check the readiness of the TIE card in Extranjeria

1. Take the piece of paper you were given after submitting your documents to TIE. It has your case number (lot number) on it - you will need it.

2. Go to one of these sites:
   • official website (where Cita previa de extranjería is taken \ you can enter TIE Pedir Cita in Google and go to the website) – https://sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es/pagina/index/directorio/icpplus
   • convenient form in Ukrainian – https://form24.es/lote/select
3. Select your province, “Selecciona Oficina” police station (where you submitted your TIE/TIE replacement documents).
4. Next, select the type of request “TRÁMITES POLICÍA NACIONAL” – "POLICE - RECOGIDA DE TARJETA DE IDENTIDAD DE EXTRANJERO (TIE)"
5. If you selected the appropriate items in the previous steps, then in the next step you will be able to see the lot number «EL ÚLTIMO LOTE RECIBIDO EN LA OFICINA SELECCIONADA ES EL ***»See what case number is currently being processed in your department:
   • If the number on the website matches yours or is larger, congratulations, your TIE is ready, you can go pick it up!
   • If the number is smaller, your card is not ready yet, check back later.

5. Carefully read on the same piece of paper after submitting the documents:
   • where exactly you need to go to get the card (sometimes it's another police station);
   • Do you need a reservation (screening) or can you just come during pick-up hours?

This important information is always included in your receipt after submitting your documents. Don't lose it!

How to pick up a TIE card at Extranjeria

• Go to the indicated police station (this may be a separate Extranjeria office, the address is on your receipt that you were given when you submitted your documents).
• Have with you:
  • the original of your international passport;
  • original receipt for submitting documents (the slip issued when applying for a TIE / for TIE renewal);
  • your previous residence permit (if you are renewing your TIE);
  • If your receipt indicates the need for an appointment (sit), register online in advance for the appointment.
• Visit Extranjeria at the specified time and you will be issued your new TIE card.

Don't forget to check the correctness of all data on the card immediately after receiving it!

How to make an appointment (cita previa) to obtain a TIE

1. Go to the official Extranjeria website (where you can get a TIE application or replacement). To easily find this site, type “TIE pedir cita” in Google search.
2. Select the appropriate province (Provincia) and police department (Oficina).
3. Choose a procedure "POLICE - RECOGIDA DE TARJETA DE IDENTIDAD DE EXTRANJERO (TIE)"
4. Fill in your details (NIE number, first name, last name)
5. Choose the date and time of your visit
6. After this, you will receive confirmation of your registration.

Save or print this confirmation and be sure to bring it with you to the appointment along with your passport and receipt for submitting documents.
